Why do you use maltodextrin in some of your products? Does it not spike insulin?

Due to the nature of some of the botanicals and nutraceuticals regards to flow, hygroscopic, density etc we have found certain excipients do not work as well as maltodextrin. When we use it, the amount of maltodextrin used is relatively small and does not come close to the 0.5gram threshold for blood sugars. The maltodextrin we use is certified non GMO.
