It is possible the Olive Leaf Extract brand you have had experience with previously contained whole herb which would explain any colour, particle size, taste and odour difference. We use a standardised extract that is produced by extraction to ensure the active alkaloids (Oleuropeins) are present. As the raw material is extracted using both water and ethanol this will clean the product and thus reduce the odour and taste.
